What have I gotten into?

Okay, I'm not talking about motherhood. That is the most wonderful, fulfilling, treasured adventure on which I've ever embarked. I'm talking about creating a blog. One, I'm not already a blogger. I'm generally behind the times w/ the new techno gadgets...& I'm only 32! It's almost a surprise I'm not using quarters at phone booths (do these even exist anymore?), or using an atlas to try to find my way out of a paper bag. Two, being a stay-at-home mom to 2 young children (a 3 year old & a 7 month old), does not afford a mother much time to do anything not child-rearing related other than showering & brushing teeth. However, as I type this (with my children sitting on the chair with me), I realize how much I do enjoy writing. I actually, secretly would like to publish a novel someday, I just have no idea about what I would write! Back to the point though, I started my own home business shortly after the birth of my daughter last year (great timing, huh!). I call it ambition...or insanity, not quite sure which! I heard on the Today Show that creating a blog is a great way to advertise one's business. People subscribe to or read your blog, discover your business along the way & some time & word-of-mouth later, business increases. Well, we'll see. Maybe I'll discover I enjoy blogging more than making diaper cakes. More on that later....
